THE STORY BEHIND THE COLLECTION

I was born and raised in Finland, but today I live in the Austrian Alps. As often happens when you leave home, distance has changed the way I see the place I come from. The familiar has become something worth paying closer attention to. This collection is my way of paying tribute to Finland through the everyday objects, foods, and traditions that shape who we are.

Creating this collection has been a collective effort. My family and friends have sent and carried Finnish objects across Europe, and I've travelled back to Finland to gather references and reconnect with the places and traditions that inspired the work. In many ways, the collection has been shaped not only by my own memories, but also by the generosity of the people who helped bring a little piece of Finland into my Austrian studio.

WELCOME TO THE EXHIBITION

I warmly invite you to experience the collection in person. Whether it brings back memories of your own or offers a glimpse into the Finnish way of life, I hope you'll find something meaningful and worth looking at a little longer.

The full collection will consist of 10 artworks. All original works will be available exclusively through the Gallery.
